MCLC tutor group report 2016

This year was an eventful year for winning house McClintock and MCLC .We were very proud that Xavier Ngaata was the house leader even though it meant he was often busy doing whole of house organising and events at mentoring time. 

Robbie Pugh was outstanding in the role he played in organising the group and taking rolls and notices. As usual we tried to get in as many fun activities as we could even though Mrs C tried to inject some serious topics for mentoring from time to time. These included study tips, goal setting and discussing biweeklies and academic progress.

The group were always keen to do anything involving food and so we had a few Fridays with a food theme: Easter eggs and hotcross buns, waffles, pizza and spiders come to mind.

We also did some great work for community service, amassing a huge tower of cans and on the fair day with our popcorn and drinks stall raised over $320. Once again the drinks were a winner and we ran out early on.

We had a trip to the golf driving range, movies to see Hunger Games, Mega Air trampolining where Mrs C was grateful everyone came home in one piece. For the end of the year we went to Ten Pin bowling which was a great success and produced some unexpected champions! We say farewell to our Year 13 leaders Robbie and Xavier and look forward to welcoming some new year 7s to our group next year.
