Staff "in and out" - 2018

There were some new additions to our STC family; Baby Angus Washington and Baby Harry Burton.

We welcomed to our staff: 

Daniel O’Brien - Head of Sport, English studies. Daniel O’Brien joins us from Linwood College and CBHS, he has recently finished as a Professional Rugby coach in Japan. Daniel is our new Director of Sport.

Jason Smallman - Science. Jason Smallman has joined us from Avondale College in Auckland. Jason will be joining the Science Faculty. Jason is an international multisport athlete.

Jono Riddell - Science. Jono Riddell has joined us from Rutherford College in Auckland, he will also be joining the Science faculty. Jono enjoys coaching rugby and has done this to a representative level.

Megan Heather - Learning Support. Megan Heather has a background in Army and alternative education where she took a group of disengaged students on a discovery trip to Nepal. Megan joins our Learning Support with a focus in the Senior school.

Rachel Fowler - Art and Graphics. Rachael Fowler spent her first year of teaching at CGHS last year. She is joining the Art and Technology departments. Rachel has a strength in Pasifika Culture.

Keith Barclay comes from a strong building background and is joining our property team. He will keep the Graham and Roger in line we are sure!

Karl Belcher - Counselling team. We are happy to announce a new member to our well-being/counselling staff, Karl Belcher. He has a background in mental health/social work and will be working with our students/community in a part-time capacity.

Sacha Van Beek: This year, STC acquired a new vocal teacher and she has made herself at home in the Music Department. Sacha Van Beek comes to us with many years of singing experience here and abroad. We have immediately seen the impact of her guidance and tuition. 

Haines Huang who is joining the languages department as a Mandarin language tutor.

Duncan Hume joined our IT department to support our boys IT needs and to monitor our IT infrastructure.

and Jo Fitzgerald - New PA for Steve Hart. Jo hails from Christchurch - born and bred. She has worked at Manning Intermediate in office administration for three years and then at Hillmorton as the Principal's PA there for eight years. Two kids one 20 and one 18 - both at UC.
