West Coast 2020

is year the Year 12 Outdoor Education class travelled to the West Coast to complete the West

Coast Wilderness Trail.

The ride started in Greymouth and finished in Hokitika taking in some amazing natural scenery. We were very lucky and had three sunny days which doesn’t happen very often on the coast. The boys completed approximately 100km over the 3 days including some decent uphill stints. Both nights involved camping, the first night spent in Kumara and the second night at Lake Kaniere. The boys had to cook their own meals using jetboils or gas cookers and demonstrate an ability to pitch and fall tents in an appropriate location.

Well done to all of the boys for getting it done and representing the school in an excellent way.
