Matariki Celebrations 2023
Tēnā koutou katoa,
To begin this term, we gathered together in celebration of Matariki. It was a perfect opportunity for us to gather and remember those who have passed, celebrate the success of those who are with us, and look forward toward the coming times with high hopes and aspirations.
A huge acknowledgement is in order for all those whānau members who contributed kai to go into the kai cooker. Another big mihi to the boys who prepared and cooked themselves, it was a big learning curve for some, but nonetheless our boys delivered a delicious kai that students and staff enjoyed together.
We are hoping to get the kai cooker out again to feed our whānau at the whānau hui on Wednesday September 13th (Week 9), we would love for as much whānau as possible to join us on this date to celebrate Te Wiki o te reo Māori, connect, and showcase some items our kapa haka group have been preparing for Tuhono kapa haka festival later in the year.
Nei rā te mihi ki ngā whānau nui o te kura nei, e tika ana te whakatauki, he waka eke noa!
Nā te kura o Hato Tamati.
