STC Boys Coaching OLV Year 8 Students

For the next five weeks as part of their NCEA course, Yr 11 PE students will be coaching year 8 students from OLV in badminton, culminating in a tournament. Most of the students have never played badminton so the boys have had to plan for the group, to teach them from scratch the rules and skills of the game. The boys found the students to be enthusiastic, and grasped the initial skills taught very well.
