JOMT

JOMT —

JOMT 2021.

Kia ora koutou.

The form class welcomed Peter Chapman yr.7, Josiah Kalotapu yr.9, Jack Kelly yr9, Ciaran Roache yr. 13 and George William’s yr. 9 to St Thomas’s under the guidance of form teacher Marty Taylor who is retiring after 25 years of service to St Thomas’s.

Congratulations to Paolo Guese for gaining the Philippino Leadership role and Paolo has done an outstanding job through his leadership and role modelling for his fellow students. Mention must also be made of Jacob Clarke’s academic prowess in his design work. We wish Paolo all the best with his University studies. Special mention for Rad and Dutch for being involved in a lot of activities and in the spirit of St Thomas’s men.

Many of the class members are involved in a variety of sports with Bradley Hamburger shining at motor cross, Sanele, Josiah, Ryan, Jack and George on the rugby field, Ollie in the gym, Rhys and Jack on the basketball court, Peter cycling, Jacob tennis, Ciaran Irish dancing, Jayden gaming, Josiah W soccer, and Thomas Bird with his performances in cricket and football and his banter with Mr. T a treat to observe.

Again a lot of disruption to the academic and sporting year with another lock-down but the JOMT team coped with it very well and their senior students are all on track with their respective levels of achievement.

The team are looking forward to having a new form teacher in 2022 and sincerely wish Marty a well-earned retirement.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou.
