MCBK Report

We welcomed new students Ronan Vave and Wilson House. Both are valued and bring very distinctive character to our school family. Graduating we have Matau Te Aika-Puanaki and Ryan Adamson. Matau distinguished himself in Te Reo with high passes in second year level University papers. Ryan was sports leader for 2015 and a fine young man and decent bloke, just the kind of graduate we feel confident unleashing onto the wider world. Nick Barrett leaves from year 12 to pursue a career in agriculture. Congratulations go also to Fergus Sharp who is returning and will take up co-chair of the school student council. He has excelled in his involvement with the Young Enterprise team, who will be receiving a National Award again this year.

Our Friday form times have focussed on the six core values shown on our new look school posters. It is all about building the St Thomas’s man. We have shared a hot-dog lunch, a pizza lunch and other events to celebrate end of term. Our greatest achievement was making $40 to donate by selling fine coffees and hot chocolates at the Term 2 fair day. Next year, we will be aiming to double that.
