MCBS

Blair Scadden —

This year is 2021, MCBS welcomed 3 new members. Vinnie Taw (Year 7), Cameron Byrne (Year 7 and Tyson Siataga-Nelson-Albrett (Year 9). Unfortunately, 3 of our boys time has come to an end in the MCBS family.

Josh Lennon (Year 13) is one of the boys sadly leaving our team. Josh is going to take up an apprenticeship as a builder or plumber. We are sad to see Josh go, as he has been a vital part of the MCBS mentor class over the years. We wish you the best of luck Josh.

We are also dolefully fare welling Ryan O’Neill (Year 13). Ryan has been a part of our mentoring class since he came in year 9. We have thoroughly enjoyed Ryan’s time as a part of MCBS and we are sad to see him go. All the best in the future Ryan.

Kane Jemmett (Year 11) is unfortunately departing from MCBS to pursue his career in hydraulic engineering. Kane will be missed, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

MCBS had a very successful 2021, involving Athletics, Swimming Sports, Special Character Week and the School Fair. Athletics and Swimming Sports were a success for the MCBS Mentor Group. Our whole team got involved in the events, which is exactly what this group is about. Getting involved and having fun. MCBS thoroughly enjoyed a special character week, with the Mentor Class Fun afternoon being a huge success. All our 14 members (Year 7-12) were there enjoying socializing with their classmates.

The school fair went swimming for our MCBS class. We sold cheese toasties in the gym foyer, everyone got involved and gave their time and effort to make it a success. Our hard work and cooperation made the afternoon a success as we ended up making a total of $120 profit for the school's charity.

Overall, the MCBS mentor class had a marvelous year. We managed through lockdown as a group, meeting on Monday mornings to check in and see how everyone was coping with the change. We look forward to seeing who will join our family for an exciting 2022.
