My Speech

Yuma Okawa —

To begin with, I was worried whether I would finish studying abroad. I experienced what I had never done before with a new culture and achieved lots of new things . So I really appreciate those of you who have given me this experience. From now on , I will talk to you about what I experienced and felt in New Zealand.

Firstly , I will talk to you about what I felt in New Zealand. Actually I was so nervous when I arrived in New Zealand. Because language , scenery and season .... all things were different. I felt uneasy. But I felt excited . Because I thought This is the big chance to improve my English skills. However , I didn't improve easily when I came here. I couldn't understand even normal conversation with my host family. I was worried and I was frustrated. So when I could speak English a little bit, I was so glad. I learned many things in New Zealand and I felt I could improve

Secondly, I will talk to you about my best Experience abroad. The most impressive experience is that I made friends from another country. New Zealand friends greeted me when I met with them for the first time so I was able to open my heart easily. I enjoyed playing table tennis during interval. I could make good memories. I won't forget them. School is also a good experience. I attended St. Thomas Canterbury of College. I met good teachers and good students. Especially, ESOL teachers taught me about English politely.

Finally, I met a lot of people and experienced many things in New Zealand. From now on, I want to learn English more . Thank you for my time at STC that I will never forget!
