This year was set to be another huge year for STC as the college celebrated its 60th birthday. It is always a highlight at the start of the year building relationships and in 2021 we welcomed Makaire Papuni, Elijah Barrow, Jason Salalilo into the JOAA whanau.

As a mentor teacher it has been awesome to see the personal growth of individuals and our class bonds strengthen over time. We have seen leaders emerge and personalities shine through across numerous events and activities. Two highlights (from the year) for me were the way we stayed connected as a class over lockdown and our unity in special character week. The way our class rallied together to prepare for the school fair and compete in the mentoring day activities was awesome!

I hope you guys all have a safe and enjoyable holiday break, create special memories with your whanau and friends. A special mention to Tyler Bruce and Aldwin Romeo who leave us to start a new chapter in their journey, all the best lads! St Thomas men you shall remain.
