Last week the Year 12 physics boys had a treat.

The usual trip to Rutherford’s Den, to look at the work of Ernest Rutherford for the radioactivity unit, had to be cancelled earlier this year due to our friendly lockdown and Covid 19. So instead we got the Arts Centre educators to come to St Thomas’.

The boys looked at his famous gold foil experiment and even got to dress up and act out the experiment . Lots of fun and learning took place and the boys reviewed the work, ready to be assessed at the end of this term. Ka pai.

Lads, now all we need is the University to open its doors and let us in!
