The final week of Term 3 has now finished and it has been busier than ever! Last night I attended the annual Variety Concert. It was a fantastic celebration of music, theatre, dancing and, most importantly, a lot of fun. I would like to congratulate Mrs Maureen Gaffaney and Ms Margaret Guerin for their organisation, and Mr Ben Crosson for his musical support on the night. I would also like to acknowledge our Year 13 boys and, in particular, Anaru Shadbolt, our Cultural Leader, and Oscar Sergel-Stringer, our MC for the night, and Sean Willetts and Dominic Anisy for their technical support on the night.

Last weekend, we celebrated the highlight of the social calendar at the College Ball. It was a fantastic evening. I would like to commend our students on their behaviour and conduct throughout the evening. I would like to thank Mr Richard Washington for his organisation alongside our ball committee led by Treye Butler.

Today we farewelled our U12 Rugby Team who are participating in the Junior Rugby Festival in Queenstown and our U15 Rugby team who are heading oversees to Japan. Travel well and go safe.

Last weekend our U13 Rugby team participated in the National Rugby festival in Taupo. They represented our College with pride and Manawa and finished a creditable 3rd, being knocked out in the semi-finals. A fantastic result by our boys in a national tournament. I would like to thank Mr Kieran Coll, Mr Paul Donnelly and Mr Tim Muir for giving up their time to allow our boys to travel and have this great experience.

This week we also celebrated Mental Health Week and celebrated this with our Year10 Rite Journey Class participating in a fun run raising funds for Mental Health Awareness. Well done men.

I trust all of our students will rest up well over the holidays, and come back refreshed and ready to learn to finish the year strongly.
