Year 13 Biologists

Andrew Jones —

Our Year 13 Biology boys spent the day at Orana Park today, starting their final assessment standard on "trends in human evolution."

The boys spent the day studying our closet ancestors, the great apes, at the park and developing forensic anthropology skills.

They learned to assess and classify the features of several primates and our ancient human ancestors.

The day gave them great hands on experience for what can be a dry and dusty topic. A big thanks to Ms Gulliver and Mrs Heather for their assistance, and to Toby, the effervescent keeper and presenter at Orana Park Zoo School. A very worthwhile day.
