MAKL

MAKL —

2021 was a year of big changes for our group of lads

With Mr Lafdal returning to STC, and MACL became MAKL as he did his best to fill the big shoes left by Mr Leader. Our little tribe welcomed 3 talented, new additions to the fold in Malcom ‘Luigi’ MacDonald (Y7), Archie McAnally (Y7) and Noah Le Quellec (Y9).

We were absolutely gutted that our created lil’ brother Lloyd Tamati Mo’ale IV was taken from us, so early after joining our class. We suspect he was kidnapped by a visiting Bishop Lyons team.

We have a bunch of high achieving lads in our group. Maretino Kaloudau (Y11) excelling in rugby with his explosive speed on the wing. The rowers, Charlie Dixon (Y11), Darby ‘the morning person’ Renata (Y9) and Frankie McArdle (Y9). Connor ‘the gentleman’ Bennett. The insprirational commitment shown by Seth ‘yo’ Hill to his studies this year. Flynn McKendry (Y10) as our great hope for inclusion in the Black Caps next season. The Year 10 prayer duo of Tanielu Leo’o and Gabe Kennedy. Our Year 13s in waiting, Jack Brophy and Conor Stanley, who we expect a lot from as head honchoes in 2022.

Highlights inlcude Lego building competitions, riceball making, adding to our kete throughout the year, end of term quizzes, kahoots for french lollies and the excitement of Special Chracter week. Our combined stalls of STCFC (St Thomas of Canterbury Fried Chicken (hearts)) and the candy dartboard brought in over $200!!!

It is with immense sadness that we say farewell to our ‘uncles’ Bailey Streeter and Josh Rea whose time at St Thomas’ comes to an end. We wish you all the very best lads and remember that part of you will always remain with us.
