On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May, the STC World Scholars Cup team comprising of Keegan Verster, Samuel Amaris, Will Floyd, Gabe Wells, Brendon Sandford, Nathan Kilday, Neil Menezes, Kerby Amata and Matthew Surrey competed in the regional round hosted by Avonside Girls High School.

This year's theme was ‘Reimagining the Present’ and the team events were the Scholars Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholars Challenge and Team Debate. The boys all had a great time and did exceptionally well with all three teams qualifying for the global round which for the first time will take place in New Zealand. Auckland will host the event from the 20th-25th September.
