Fifteen Year 7 & 8 students from St Thomas went to Halswell Quarry to compete in the Canterbury Intermediate Schools Cross Country Championships. With a hard track and extremely warm day the boys were going to be in for a hard run in tough and trying conditions. The effort from these boys was outstanding with some extremely good results, notably Alex McCorkindale finishing 5th overall in the Year 7 section and qualifying for the regional championship over the next couple of weeks. Well done to all the boys that competed.
