KONAN HIGH SCHOOL VISITORS

The college has played host to a group of eight short-term Japanese students from a high school in Shizuoka, Japan. They have been primarily here to learn English and improve their rugby skills whilst on their term holidays in Japan. They have also been on a farm visit with the other international boys out at Leeston, and had a quick visit to Dan Carter's house where they stared in awe at the hallowed goalposts perched on his family's front lawn.

Although only beginners at English, they've joined in to some kiwi classes with enthusiasm. They have been a great credit to their school in the respectful manner in which they have conducted themselves, often seen picking up rubbish without prompting before training as one example. Many thanks to the Biggs’, Burtons’, and Browns’ for being the host families; and also to Hamish McCombie and Yasutake Kashizuka for organising their trip.
