Mid Year School Reports

Brad Milne —

On Friday 8th July, which is the last day of term two, school reports for students in Years 7-10 will be published on the Edge Parent Portal.

The following reports will be published:

  • Years 7–10
Curriculum Strands report – identifying where your child is working according to each curriculum strand and level.

  • Years 7–8
National Standards report – identifying the individual progress your child has made in regards to reading, writing and mathematics. This report provides an overall teacher judgement, past results and comments around general achievement, next steps and strategies to help at home.

  • Year 9
Integrated Project – All Year 9 students will write their own report reflecting on their ability to complete set projects either in a collaborative team environment or individually. The focus is on developing 21st Century Skills, specifically knowledge construction, collaboration and self-regulation. This report will be on your child’s OneNote page for 9ITP.

  •  Reports are not published for students in Years 11-13.

Attitude to Learning (bi-weekly) reports for all students in Years 7–13 continue to be ongoing all year and this is where all comments can be found. Teachers are expected to provide 2-3 comments per terms in regards to learning and attitude so the information is formative rather than summative at the end of a term.

If you have any concerns resulting from these reports, your first contact with the school will be through your child’s mentor teacher.
