The start of the season saw U14 red enter grade the second section with some slightly older country club teams. The boys grew all of their skills, particularly in the contact areas. We found ourselves slow starting in many games, highlighted in a good comeback victory against St Bedes U14b. 

In the middle part of the season we were out sized by some country teams and took some heavy defeats. On finding our way into section 3 the boys confidence grew massively. Playing against boys at the same size meant everyone’s tackles stuck and the games were competitive. This meant we faced St Bedes U14b in the final. 

The final was a fair reflection of our season, missing some opportunities down at half time but not out. Full time ended in a draw which the boys can be proud of unfortunately we came runner up due to points differential. A big thanks to Simon Moriarty for helping coach the side and grow the boys skills as well as all the parents for their support on Saturdays.
