Antarctic Visit - a student report

We went in Term 2 to the Antarctic Centre with the ESOL guys. Of course including me , for nearly everyone it was the first time to go there. Therefore everyone was feeling excited.

Firstly we went to a classroom and listened about Antarctica by some staff. They taught us in English so it was a little bit hard to understand though I got some interesting information. I couldn't hide my surprise when I knew the minimum temperature of Antarctica is –93.2.

One of my friends Shun wore really thick clothes to use at Antarctica. The clothes looked absolutely hot. it showed how cold it is. After that , we went to a place called: "snow room" The temperature was –38 temporarily. Can you guess how cold –38 is? The average of minimum temperature of New Zealand in July is 1. Even it is +. Then , I thought again the clothes that Shun took just before wasn't not too hot at Antarctica.

We saw some pretty penguins live in the aquarium and finally we rode on Hagland-Snow Mobile is also used when you drive on Antarctica. We went through difficult circumstances much like a roller coaster. It was good fun.

The Antarctic Centre was so good for us. I want to ride Hagland-Mobile again in particular.
