Sports Awards 2023

Last Friday night, we celebrated our annual STC Sports Awards for 2023.

As always, it was a fantastic evening celebrating this year's sporting achievements. So many huge achievements applauded and excessive efforts reflected upon from coaches, parents, support staff and the athletes themselves. The night highlighted the MANAWA put in at every stage of the athlete's journey.

To follow is a list of main awards on the evening;

Senior Sportsman of the Year - Daniel Prescott - ( Athletics, Cross Country - NZ)

Junior Sportsman of the Year - Kenny Lafituanai - Boxing, Rugby and League)

Intermediate Sportsman of the Year - Ethan Richardson (Athletics and Cross Country) and Taine Johnson. (Mountain Biking)

STC Coach of the Year - Andrew Auimatagi - Rugby League

Senior Team of the Year - 1st XIII Rugby League.

Junior Team of the Year - Rowing U15 X Skull - Noah Le Quellec and Flynn Grace.

Rising Team of the Year - Senior Badminton - Marcus Bernal and France Pascual.

Intermediate Team of the Year - Rugby League Blue and Lawn Bowls - Casey Loader and Lachie Pikia.

Outstanding Staff Contribution to Sport - Andrew Auimatagi, Brendan Biggs and Grant Bunting.

Outstanding Student Contribution to Sport - Harlan Sleeman, Jackson McIntyre and Jacob O'Connell.

All Rounder Sportsman of the Year - Max Fale

Referee of the Year - Josh Thornley and Jack Studholme
