STC Sports Update

How exciting to have winter sport under way!

We have a huge amount of school sport taking place this weekend!

Good luck to all our young men playing in their winter codes. As parents and supporters we have an important role too. To support, encourage, and enhance the experience for our men! 

We had old boy and sports captain, Brad Clive, in to speak to our school at assembly on Monday. Now a policeman in Auckland, Brad was hugely successful at creating a supporters culture that was based upon building our teams up while respecting our opposition. He challenged our current students to continue the fantastic legacy that has become part of our STC culture.

Congratulations to our 1st X1 football team who kicked off their season with a 10-1 win over Rolleston College. Blair Scadden, Robbie Lange and David Murdoch have set a great culture and foundation for the season!

Our 1st XV kick off tomorrow on our number 1 ground at 2:45pm. Check out the link to a video presented to their Whanau last night.

Our 1st V basketball tip off Tuesday night against CBHS, good luck to Joe and the team. To our 2nd XV (who are a very strong team this year) and many other junior teams across codes, all the best in your debut games for the season, we look forward to watching you all show your talents off!!
