Pentecost 2021 in Christchurch West Parish

Sunday 23rd May was a celebration of the hard work, prayer and good collaborations that are unifying our three Catholic communities of St Bernadette’s, St Teresa’s and Our Lady of Victories churches. It also celebrated the hopeful future of our Christchurch West parish. Throughout this ongoing journey we have prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide us and Pentecost was a wonderful event for us.

After the massive procession, people gathered at Saint Thomas of Canterbury College for the two main events: the Mass and the sharing of food afterwards.

Huge thanks to the volunteers on the day:

· Altar servers

· Setting up and serving hot drinks

· BBQ work

· Parking wardens

· Guides

· The clean-up crew

Special thanks to the staff who volunteered during the weekend, especially Mr Aidan Baker and Mrs Elizabeth Kennedy.

On behalf of the College I would sincerely like to thank Fr. Michael Therese Scheerger for his vision and invitation to be a part of the wonderful day.
