Year 10 and NCEA

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Your sons have recently received their results for their June NCEA co-requisites examinations. There were three exams based on reading, writing and numeracy.

These results are entered in their EDGE Student Summary and in their NZQA site.

Ask them to show you their results.

They look like this:

32403.1 Read written texts to understand ideas and information.

32405.2 Write texts to communicate ideas and information.

32406.2 Use mathematics and statistics to meet the numeracy demands of a range of situations.

Your sons may have passed all of them, two of them, one of them or none – at this stage.

Your next move – DO NOT WORRY!

At the end of October your sons will get another chance to sit the papers that they did not pass. Staff, here at school, will be working with the boys to get them ready for this next set of examinations. English and Mathematics teachers will also be offering your son work that will enable him to get the NCEA requirements needed for qualifications.

If you have any questions, email me and I can explain the process. bbiggs@stc.school.nz

Kind Regards,

Brendan Biggs (Deputy Principal)
