Epro8 Update

On Tuesday 23 August, our Year 11 team of Henry, Mathias, Sam and Nate progressed to the Canterbury grand final.

The event took place at Holmes Engineering in Hornby.

Before the competition the boys were treated to a tour of the facility where they saw some cutting-edge designs around innovation and the future of automated self driving vehicles. Due to the confidential nature of some of the work, we were not allowed to take photographs, but the boys experienced what the near future may look like.

In the competition the boys competed well, and only dropped from 1st place in the final 20 minutes with a final result of placing 5th out of 12 teams, ahead of all the rival boys school teams!

It has been great to see our boys grow, flourish and gain confidence from year to year.

Thanks to Kelvin from Epro8 and Holmes Engineering,  and also to the parents of the boys for their continued patience and support of this team.

We will rise again!
