Kapa Haka for our Years 3-6

Janie Stone —

We are very excited to announce a new change for our Kapa Haka!

Kapa Haka and our cultural programme at SBS are continuing this term with a new tutor and an online resource. We are excited to welcome Moana Marsters Whetu to our Stanley Bay whānau.

Moana is a North Shore local and supports several other schools on the North Shore with their Kapa Haka. She will be working with our Year 3-6 children on Wednesdays and supporting our school kapa haka group in the lead up to the Bayswater Matariki Festival.

We have also signed up for a fantastic online resource called Online Kapa Haka. Teachers will use this to support kapa haka, waiata, Te Reo Maori and Tikanga learning throughout the year.

Providing these wonderful resources for our Years 3-6 students is $35 per student, payable on Kindo here, for the remainder of 2023. We appreciate your support, enabling us to provide rich and engaging experiences and learning for your tamariki.
