Rippa Rugby

Karyn Barnes-Pownall —

On Thursday 2 May 50 children from Y3-6 participated in the Rippa Tournament held at the Takapuna Rugby club. It was a great day, below are snippets of the children's writing.

On Thursday last week, 2nd of May, some of Stanley Bay School went to Rippa. I was one of them who went and not to be biased but we did pretty well. We all, I’d say, had good fun. We all had three games and all had pretty good results. A big shout out to the parents from Stanley Bay who came and supervised us.

I am running through a field of lions.  I am trying to keep up with my own legs twisting, turning, dodging.  Finally I can see the try line ahead, I dive for it.  This whistle blows, I did it, I scored a try!
