Junior Nature Walk
On Friday the 5th of August Ropu Kakano went on a nature walk around our local area with some wonderful parent helpers. We were also collecting some natural objects for an art project.
After a foggy morning the sun came out and we had a stunning day to enjoy connecting with the natural environment. We went past the beach and saw that the city was still covered in fog! Then we went down to Stanley Bay Park along the stream to Ngātaringa Bay Beach. We enjoyed finding special treasures in the sand and seaweed. We even saw Janine on her paddle board!
We walked around the water's edge past Ngātaringa Sportsfield and were lucky enough to watch and listen to some bagpipers playing.
We really enjoyed this special time together, a big thank you to the parents who came along to help for the morning
