ICAS assessments 2022

Scott Boniface —

Gentle reminder if you are wanting to register your child or children for the ICAS online testing, the last day to do this is Monday 1st August.

This is open for all students in Years 3-6.The new look ICAS assessment system is ready for you to register your child to complete the tests. We are pleased to be able to offer the ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) tests again this year. These tests are based predominantly on the Australian curriculum and are administered in a number of countries around the world. The tests are all sat online and students from Years 3-6 are able to enter English, Mathematics, Science and Digital Technology.

It is important to recognise that ICAS tests are a competition designed to test cognitive ability, not student learning or progress. For this reason, there is little preparation or revision that students can do prior to testing. However, there are sample tests available for students to familiarise themselves with the format.

Stanley Bay School will offer ICAS testing for the following subjects -

Mathematics Years 3-6, which will be sat between 29th August and 2nd September

Science Years 3-6, which will be sat between 22nd August and 26th August

English Years 3-6, which will be sat between 15th August and 19th August

Digital Technologies Years 3-6, which will be sat between 8th August and 12th August

Individual tests cost $20.70 each

It is easy to sign up, simply visit the ICAS parent portal and enter our school access code VHK634

Inside the portal you will need to enter your child's name, DOB and Year level and then select the tests you wish your child to sit. Payment is online and the tests will be administered in school. Further information, please visit the ICAS website.
