Term 3 Round Up

Lucy Naylor —

As we head into the Term 3 break, we have been reflecting on the term, what a crazy 10 weeks it has been!

Thank You FOSB!

Stanley Bay is a fantastic community and the Friends of Stanley Bay play an integral part in raising spirits and funds which enable us to provide a level of education over and above what we are funded for.

This term the FOSB team has worked tirelessly to bring us the inaugural Stanley Bay Stampede and the Quiz and Auction night. No small undertaking! Both events were a huge success and a whole lot of fun along the way.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the FOSB, you are truly awesome! The time, energy and effort that parents put into our school is exceptional and a reflection of the communities commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for our children's education.

Go FOSB, what a team!

Open Day - Sharing of Learning

It was fantastic to see so many parents and grandparents at the Open Day this week. The Open Day was an exciting opportunity for students to share their learning about The Arts. If you were able to come along, I am sure you will agree it was an exciting and engaging event, with many many laughs along the way! We hope you enjoyed seeing what we have been getting up to, the students certainly appreciated an audience.

Epro8 Challenge

On Friday, 8 of our students will be heading to Upper Habour Primary to take part in the EPro8 Challenge.

EPro8 Challenge is a competition, and engineering and problem-solving race. Over 10,000 students from 900 schools from throughout New Zealand take part. The teams compete to build structures, solve practical problems, invent machines, undertake unusual and fun experiments, construct electronic circuits and solve problems using mathematical reasoning.

The teams are practiced and prepared...good luck and we look forward to hearing about your successes!

Property Maintenance

As part of the school's cyclical maintenance program, during the holiday break, the interior of the hall is being painted. If your children use the school grounds during the break, please remind them to keep out of the hall and surrounding area. We are looking forward to a clean, fresh hall for term 4!

End Of Term Assembly - Friday 27 September, 2.15pm

Don't forget that on Friday you are invited to the End of Term Assembly. At this assembly, we will be celebrating students who have consistently demonstrated the school values and graduate profile throughout the term. There will also be a few performances to entertain and delight! We look forward to seeing you there.

....and now it is time to pause, for many families, the school holidays are a time to reconnect and press the 'reset' button. Enjoy the precious time with your children and we look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 14 October.
