Lunchtime fun and games

Scott Boniface —

As the winter rolls in and there doesnt seem like much for our students to do at lunchtimes, we are offering plenty of activities across the school.

There will be a raft of activities that students can opt into and have a go at. These include learning to play the ukulele, playing scratch (an online coding game), Minecraft, buillding with lego / block construction, playing board games, competing in Year 3-6 house sport, table tennis, basketball training, activities on both the senior and junior deck areas with loose parts (construction and play based learning), chess club in the library, trampolining in the hall, choir (all years), rippa rugby on Ngataringa Park field, eco warriors and gardening club, stem club (Science and Technology activities) and practices for our Dance festival.

This huge range on offer allows our students to not only have a go at, or try something new, but to also make their lunchtimes more exciting and fun.

With the exception of some groups that have already had sign ups, nearly all of the activiites are optional and will run for the duration of Term 3.
