Keeping our Children Safe

Lucy Naylor —

A friendly reminder about keeping our children safe on the road.

Russell Street is very busy during pick up and drop off making it a potential danger for our children but there are a couple of things we can all do to help keep them safe.

Parking

Please do not park on the broken yellow OR solid white lines on either side of the crossing area. Parking in these areas is illegal and creates a dangerous situation for those crossing and road patrollers.

Use of the crossing

When dropping off and picking up please use the crossing, this is the safest place. By using the crossing we are instilling good life skills and teaching the children how to be safe.

Parking across driveways

We have great neighbours, however, we have received a couple of complaints that residential driveways have been blocked by parent's cars. Please respect our neighbours.

To help us keep the children safe, in the coming weeks the Community Constable will be randomly patrolling the Russell St area and ticketing cars that are parked in restricted areas.
