I am pleased to inform you that Carina Lee has been appointed to teach Room 4 from the start of Term 3.

She is spending some time this week and all of next week with the class and Emma Gauntlet so that the best possible transition will occur. Carina is a beginning teacher, we have scheduled Jill Cahill to teach the class when Carina is released. The children know Jill well. Having Jill will keep consistency for the class.

Carina has come with glowing reports with regard to her in-class practice, engagement with learners, and emanates a passion for teaching. Carina has grown up with both her parents being school Principals who are a great support to her.

Carina has a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, both from the University of Western Ontario. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from the University of Auckland. She met the class this morning and will be teaching them tomorrow.

Next week she will be here every day and at the parent/teacher conferences.
