Selection Process for Student Leaders

This year we are wanting 8 House Leaders (2 per house), 4 Sports Leaders and 4 Arts Coordinators. Each leadership role has specific criteria which are included in the application form. We also take into account any leadership they have shown to date and the behaviour and modelling of our school values of Respect, Resilience and Integrity. 

The 2022 student leader selection process is as follows 

Friday 4th February - applications open for students to apply 

Monday 14th February - Applications close 

Selection Process 

Students are invited to attend an expression of Interest meeting. At the meeting, they will find out what is involved for each of the leadership roles, along with the skills and dispositions we will be looking for. Interested students will be given an application form with accompanying selection criteria that must be completed independently. 

The emphasis is on students completing the forms to the best of their ability 

Completed forms are to be submitted to Mr Boniface on or before Monday 14th February.

The Y5/6 teachers, along with support staff and teacher aides (where appropriate) will meet to discuss the most suitable applicants and create an initial shortlist. The applications and shortlist are then shared with all teachers for discussion and a final decision is made.

The 2022 Student Leaders will be announced on Friday 18th February.
