Back after a couple of years hiatus due to covid this week TGS cricket in collaboration with the North Shore Cricket Club hosted the Peninsula Champ of Champs.

The tournament this year attracted 18 teams from seven local primary schools, Bayswater, Devonport, Stanley Bay, Belmont, Hauraki, Takapuna and St Leos.

The six girls teams and twelve boys or mixed 8 aside teams competed in 5 games during the day - each team had a TGS student coach/umpire looking after the games with the tournament being run by senior students Christian Scott and Olivia Priddy with support from Tendai (from North Shore Cricket), Director of Cricket Michael Tillett and the TGS sports department. Each team was given the name of a current 1st XI TGS cricket player.

After some epic battles, creative team chants, fun and lots of cricket development the following teams were victorious and were awarded certificates and some teams prizes donated by Cricket Express.
