Room 4's problem-solving prototypes

Room 4 —

"We were making inventions for problems in society as a competition ... the best one would win". See our writing below.

There is a netting for sea animals to get through.  Then they go under an x-ray and if they have plastic inside them people drop down pills so the animals can eat them and the pills dissolve the plastic.  There is also a filter that picks up plastic and squirts out water.  By Emily C-S.

How does it work?  There are too many fires going on at once and the fire brigade can't handle going place to place.  How does it change people's lives?  There were too many fires so I invented the water machine 3000.  So when any fire is going on the water machine 3000 would put it out.  By Dom McG.

My prototype collects plastic from the ocean and then makes it into clothes and gives them to the poor.  It is made out of ... a plastic bottle, two paper cups, two cupcake moulds and tinfoil.  By Poppy P.

My invention helps because when people drop litter and it rains the water takes the plastic to the sewers and then the plastic goes to the sea.  But the invention stops the plastic and lets the water through but not the plastic.  Then people do not need to pick up plastic.  By Will C.
