Seaweek is held annually in New Zealand and is run by the New Zealand Association for Environmental Education (NZAEE), a non-profit group that promotes education on sustainability. This year it is from the 5th - 13th March.

It is a national week about the sea and encourages Kiwis to renew their relationship with our oceans and to learn about the amazing creatures that live within it.

We will be celebrating Sea Week next week at Stanley Bay and will finish the week with a dress-up day. Get creative and come to school dressed in your coolest sea-themed costume.

There are several great events on around Auckland during the week that you can do with your family like snorkel days and beach clean-ups.
