Devonport Cluster Chess Tournament

On 21 May we are hosting the local schools annual Chess Power tournament...and its not too late to get involved!

Once again Stanley Bay is hosting the Chess Power tournament for players in years 4, 5 and 6. Students will all be asked if they want to take part for the day where they will play 7 time-controlled games using chess clocks. The winning school will progress to the Auckland regional finals.


Great fun for all abilities and a real learning experience outside of the classroom. It's not too late for students to get some practice in at home or school - chess club runs Friday lunchtimes in Room 4
