School Notices
Camera Surveillance
Three CCTV cameras are in the process of being installed at school to help reduce overall costs, enhance security, and prevent people from climbing on the school roof. Once they are operating they will only be operating outside of school hours, and are for the sole purpose of reducing vandalism. Signs will also be clearly visible.
PA System
A PA system was identified by the MOE as being needed for safety reasons and is going to be up and running in the near future. It will have the capability for the office to contact classrooms and the classrooms to talk to the office.
School Field
You may have noticed that the school field hasn't been mowed for a while. This is because our caretaker is away and our current ride-on mower is broken. This should be fixed within the next couple of weeks
Playground
An online survey conducted by the Board of Trustees in October 2023 aimed to gather opinions from parents and staff regarding the allocation of funds raised by the FOSB Mud Run. Of the four options, a new Boulder Climber received the highest support with a majority of the votes. The installation will take place at the end of the term, ready for summer.
Library help and working bee
Delwyn would love some parents to help with the library. We need 4-5 people to help on Monday or Tuesday afternoon from 2pm to learn what to do. Then those people can come in when it suits each week to support.
Please email dmacdonald@stanleybay.school.nz if you can help or turn up.
