Learner Conferences

A Learner Conference is a meeting that includes the student, parent/s and the teacher. It is an opportunity for the student to share samples of work, discuss what they have learned and identify progress they have made.

Why are conferences important? We believe that encouragement and support from parents and carers are very important elements in the learning process and are consistent with effective assessment characteristics of the New Zealand Curriculum. It is an opportunity for teachers to share, with parents, the progress of their child and for whānau to ask questions and work collaboratively to set goals.

On Wednesday 28 June 2-4.30 pm and Thursday 29 June 3.30-6 pm, we will be hosting Learner Conferences.

Please note that as teachers will be involved in conferences from 2pm on Wednesday 28 June, the school will close at 1.30pm
