It's Bee Season

Rachael Hamilton —

The spring feed season is well and truly underway, the warm winter and early spring warm spell (mixed with rain) have produced a huge amount of food and as expected a number of swarms around the place.

Hello

Thanks to those who have let us know as we can capture most of them and rehouse them, some get away...
In the period between now and Christmas the bees will build in numbers and collect more honey than they consume. Bees with honey in their hives will protect their honey from intruders and other bees and especially wasps and sometimes humans.

A Hive costs approximately $200 per site so in order to raise funds we will start selling our jars of honey at 2 for $10 with orders done via email and payments made online to:

BeeGoodHoney - 03-0275-0036950-000 - Add address as a reference.

We need to try and sell approximately 24 jars for every address throughout the wider community. As such, we have created a new website and made a promotional video. As part of our offering we plan to do delivery to friends on the North Shore or further by courier at an extra cost

How you can help: Your assistance in spreading the word would be helpful. Sharing our video and website on social media is one option, and I will leave some brochures with you at my next visit, which could be given to friends or put in neighbouring letterboxes.
