Nano Girl - Inspiring Science!

Lucy Naylor —

Last week Nano Girl provoked our thinking and showed how science is all around us and how FUN it can be.

The learning from the day has inspired  students to begin to unpack their science inquiries.  Here is what the students thought of Nano Girl...

"We heard a chicken in a cup with no chicken! Watching her hand catch on fire was amazing!" Leah, Room 6

"Nano Girl was really cool because she had her hand on fire!" Alex, Room 6

"Nano Girl was fun and cool. She did a lot of crazy things, my favourite was her fire hand!" Julie, Room 6

"I loved the thing which made smoke rings because you could see the smoke turn into a donut and go round and round in the air." Seb, Room 7

"I liked the experiment when Nanogirl lit her hands on fire. She dipped her hands into water with bubbles so I think the bubbles would stop her getting burnt." Josh, Room 7

"I liked the chicken in the cup because it was really funny when it sounded like a chicken. The water seemed to help make the sound." Aria, Room 7
