This week has flown by, only having four school days! We hope you all had a great extended weekend, it sounds like plenty of warm weather was enjoyed by all.

The Year 9 girls had their first weekend in house. These few days were packed full of games and challenges, put together by Robyn. Although poor Robyn and our chef Ross did find themselves soaked after the pool party on Friday!!

On Saturday they embarked on a scavenger hunt, having to collect different items and take photos of objects - all within an hour! This was a great chance for the girls to explore their new backyard and work collaboratively with others from their cohort. It was very entertaining to watch the team building games, everyone had different ideas on what the best technique for success would be 😉

On Sunday we headed off to the Botanic Gardens, enjoying a packed picnic and feeding some hungry ducks with Robyn. The annual Waitangi Day Boarding Games were held on Monday, with fierce competition from all schools. New friendships were made and laughs were had, as a variety of challenges put teams to the test.

All of the girls have been getting back into their normal routines, with sports and cultural activities starting back up. This is so lovely to see and the hostel is buzzing, as everyone is busy with their extra curricular activities. It is always such a great idea to get involved with something new, meeting different people and learning a range of skills. Have a look down at school for what exciting opportunities are available at the moment!

Junior fitness has also been up and running on Thursday mornings, thanks to Rosie and Bridget. They have been giving the girls some challenging exercises, but what a great start to the day!

This morning Tolcarne looked completely different, decorated top to bottom in Valentines Day decorations by the Head Boarders! It tied in with the fabulous Archway theme down at school. With love heart decorations, pink everywhere and chocolates for breakfast - the girls were well and truly set up for a 'Feel Good Friday' 💓 Take a look below for some more photos!
