Parking, School Drop-off and Pickup Safety
Please be courteous with your parking. We are receiving complaints from from our neighbours regarding parents/students and visitors parking in their paid Resident Parking spaces.
Please STOP and Think “SAFETY” when dropping off or picking up your child from school.
- Please do NOT double park outside school
- Please do NOT stop on our Kea crossing area when you drop off or pick up your child
- Do not park or stop your vehicle facing oncoming traffic, as per the New Zealand Road Code
We suggest:
- If you drive through the Kea Crossing to the front of school, please exit into Heriot Row and out towards Pitt Street. The town end of Cobden Street, which is a no stopping area with yellow lines, is being blocked by cars using it as a turning circle and/or parking on the yellow lines. This also blocks access to our construction site.
Students are allowed to wear raincoats or they can use umbrellas when walking to and from school. Once at school they have warm classrooms where they can dry off.
Once school finishes, we suggest students can:
- Wait 5 or 10 minutes in school before you pick them up
- Be collected a short walk away from school
Please, help to keep our community safe - think before your park in an undesignated area.
