Year 13 Economics

Judy Maw —

The Year 13 Economics class visited Closeburn Station in Gimmerburn, owned by Anna Clarke’s mum and Dad, Tony and Rebecca this week.

It was a brilliant trip where Tony and Rebecca showed us amazing hospitality and we experienced first hand their merino sheep and the fleeces that are marketed directly to Japan to be made into TOP quality mens suits. We saw merino ewes and rams close up in the woolshed pens before venturing up the farm to gain expansive views of the Maniototo plains. It was a very special time and the students had a wonderful experience so special thanks to Tony and Rebecca and Anna for hosting us.
