Waterpolo has continued to have good participation numbers in Term 4. With a new coaching group on board, it has been great to see all teams performing in the weekly competition. 

Our Junior Gold team headed to Christchurch in the last week of November to compete in the Junior South Islands Champs. With only one section available this year, our junior team have come away from the competition with loads of experience and also pushed for a semi final spot. After a tough game against Otago Girls, the team’s last game was against Villa Maria for 5th. This was a close game but the girls hung in there and took the win. Finishing 5th is a great result for the sport. 

In the weekly competition, Our Senior A team finished 3rd and the Junior Gold’s came 1st equal in the Girls B Grade. Our Year 7&8 team competed weekly and at the Intermediate South Island Champs. It is always great to give our young players opportunities to experience being at a tournament.
