Tolcarne News
What a busy week we have had at Tolcarne! It has been nice having more flexibility at Level 1, meaning the girls have been able to get back involved in sports, social events and different activities.
The social calendar this week was full, with the girls heading to the Highlanders game, Silk class, our first Tribe Dinner and even the much anticipated John McGlashan dinner swap!
The rugby in the weekend was definitely a highlight for the girls, especially with the score being so close and the Highlanders coming away with the win!
On Saturday the juniors went to a silk class, with most trying this for the first time. It looks very impressive from the photos!
Monday night was Tribe dinner. Each Tribe had a section of the dining room windows to decorate, covering the glass in various colours and designs! Steve was the judge of this competition, voting Grendon in 1st place, Highgate 2nd, Baxter 3rd and Falkland 4th. To finish off the night we were treated to a live Singstar concert from the girls, held by the Tribe Leaders. Abba songs were the crowd favourite, sung perfectly - just like the original versions!! 🎤
On Tuesday the senior girls hosted John McGlashan for dinner, and the juniors went to their hostel. Everyone was treated to delicious meals, followed by various games and activities. It was a nice chance for both hostels to catch up again.
Have a great weekend 💟
