Tolcarne News

Beth Anderson —

Wow we are flying through Term 4 in the boarding house, it is Week 7 already! It seems crazy that we only have 2 and a half weeks of school left. ðŸŽ‰

Last week, the juniors were doing crafty prep activities with Robyn. During prep, they sewed prints onto canvas with string and moulded and painted clay. It is nice to unwind during prep time with various different activities. This week, we look forward to Christmas-themed preps with Beth and Robyn so watch this space. ðŸ’•

This was also a very exciting weekend for our Year 9s as it was the Waihola overnight camp. They departed Tolcarne on Friday afternoon. Once they arrived they were straight into the outdoor activities with everyone doing the zip line at least twice. Each camp dorm had to perform a 1.5 minute dance choreography for our evening competition. Then they all ate marshmallows on the campfire and ended the night in a gratitude circle, sharing Year 9 reflections and singing their favourite year group songs. Saturday morning began with Robyn's delicious waffle breakfast. Luckily they began with sunny weather so they were able to complete the army assault obstacle course and archery tag. They finished the day off with the waterslide. Mae’s birthday was celebrated with cake 🥳 and popcorn. The students had so much fun at the Waihola Camp this year and we are so pleased everyone enjoyed it!

A huge thank you to Ange, Robyn and Danielle for joining them.
