And thats a wrap on Week 3 - another busy few days on our Tolcarne calendar! Preparations were in full swing at the start of the week, getting ready for our Boarders Open Day. On Tuesday evening the Year 12 Boarding Leaders prepared Tolcarne themed m&m biscuits, individually wrapping, tying and curling ribbon, ready to give our prospective students.

Wednesday was our annual 'do up your door night' with competition at an all time high. Each year level put a lot of time and effort into their designs, with a range of different themes and ideas. This is always a crazy evening, filled with coloured paper, glitter, stickers, printing and all things crafts! The Year 11s themed their corridor 'Around the World', while our Year 10s chose to go with 'Underwater'.

On Thursday we welcomed over 200 people, all eager to have a look around Tolcarne and see what daily hostel life looks like. The visitors were extremely impressed with the decorated doors, commenting on the amount of effort put into each design. The Year 13 students did a fabulous job, touring our guests around and making them feel at home. We would like to thank everyone who was involved with our 2022 Country Visits and Open Day. Looking ahead to next week we have a lot to look forward to. Cross Country is taking place on Wednesday, along with cooking for our Pink Ribbon bake sale during the week, our Pink Ribbon Breakfast on Thursday and the most important social event for the seniors - the Year 12 and 13 Formal! With that in mind, we hope you all have a relaxing weekend before the craziness and excitement of Week 4. Remember to bring back your pink clothes and a gold coin/donation for Thursday morning - there will be prizes for the best pink outfit! We look forward to seeing you all back on Monday 💝💝
