Mia Wall and Phoebe Hunter were nominated as the 2023 Mana Pounamu recipients for Te Kura o Hira Tapu. On Friday 27th October, they were presented with their awards at the Otago School of Education auditorium at an energetic ceremony peppered with strong haka and waiata to support all ākonga who gained an award that evening.

Along with the recognition of Phoebe and Mia’s individual achievements, Phoebe also gained a Scholarship to be used at Otago University or Polytechnic.
